But that the world may know that I love my Father, and as my Father has commanded me, so I do. Arise, let us go away from here.

Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he cuts out; and the one which bears fruit, he prunes so that it may bring forth more fruit.

Remain with me and I with you. Just as a branch cannot give fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine; even so you cannot, unless you remain with me.

I command these things to you, so that you love one another.

And for their sakes, I am sanctifying myself, so that they also may be sanctified in the truth.

So that they all may be one; just as you, my Father, art with me, and I am with you, that they also may be one with us; so that the world may believe you sent me.

And the glory which you gave me, I gave to them; so that they may be one just as we are one.

I with them and you with me, that they may become perfected in one; so that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them just as you loved me.

O Father, I wish that those whom you have given me, may also be with me where I am; so that they may see my glory which you have given me; for you have loved me before the foundation of the world.

And I have made your name known to them, and I am still making it known; so that the love with which you loved me may be among them, and I be with them.

Simon Peter and one of the other disciples followed Jesus. The high priest knew that disciple, so he entered with Jesus into the courtyard.
