"Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land where I am going to bring you,

I am Yahweh your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God; I am Yahweh your God."

But you and your sons with you shall keep your priesthood in everything that concerns the altar and inside the veil, and you are to perform service. I am giving you the priesthood as a bestowed service, but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death."

Then Yahweh said to Aaron, "You shall have no inheritance in their land nor own any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the sons of Israel.

And the donkey said to Balaam, "Am I not your donkey on which you have ridden all your life to this day? Have I ever been accustomed to do so to you?" And he said, "No."

Then Balak said to Balaam, "Did I not urgently send to you to call you? Why did you not come to me? Am I indeed unable to honor you?"

So Balaam said to Balak, "Behold, I have come now to you! Am I able to speak anything at all? The word that God puts in my mouth, that I shall speak."

So now, behold, I am going to my people; come, and I will advise you what this people will do to your people in the last days."

And you shall not defile the land in which you live, in the midst of which I dwell; for I Yahweh am dwelling in the midst of the sons of Israel.'"

"And I spoke to you at that time, saying, ‘I am not able to bear the burden of you alone.

And Yahweh said to me, ‘Say to them, "Do not go up and do not fight—for I am not among you—so that you are not defeated before your enemies."'

"So now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I am teaching you to do, so that you may live and go in and take possession of the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, is giving you.

You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God which I am commanding you.

Or what great nation is there that has statutes and judgments as righteous as this whole law which I am setting before you today?

So you shall keep His statutes and His commandments which I am commanding you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days on the land which Yahweh your God is giving you for all the days."

Then Moses summoned all Israel and said to them: "Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the judgments which I am speaking today in your hearing, that you may learn them and be careful to do them.

‘I am Yahweh your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,

so that you and your son and your grandson might fear Yahweh your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I am commanding you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.
