Now the whole earth spoke one language and used the same words (vocabulary).

So Sarah laughed to herself [when she heard the LORD'S words], saying, "After I have become old, shall I have pleasure and delight, my lord (husband) being also old?"

When Abraham's servant heard their words, he bowed himself to the ground [in worship] before the LORD.

When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried out with a great and extremely bitter cry and said to his father, "Bless me, even me also, O my father!"

When these words of her elder son Esau were repeated to Rebekah, she sent for Jacob her younger son, and said to him, "Listen carefully, your brother Esau is comforting himself concerning you by planning to kill you.

Their words seemed reasonable to Hamor and his son Shechem,

His brothers said to him, "Are you actually going to reign over us? Are you really going to rule and govern us as your subjects?" So they hated him even more for [telling them about] his dreams and for his [arrogant] words.

Joseph's brothers were envious and jealous of him, but his father kept the words [of Joseph] in mind [wondering about their meaning].

And when Joseph's master heard the words of his wife, saying, "This is the way your servant treated me," his anger burned.

"Send one of you [back home], and let him bring your brother [here], while [the rest of] you remain confined, so that your words may be tested, [to see] whether there is any truth in you [and your story]; or else, by the life of Pharaoh, certainly you are spies."

but bring your youngest brother to me, so your words will be verified and you will not die." And they did so.

So the steward overtook them and he said these words to them.

"Naphtali is a doe let loose, [a swift warrior,] Which yields branched antlers (eloquent words).

Then Moses said to the LORD, "Please, Lord, I am not a man of words (eloquent, fluent), neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and tongue."

"You must speak to him and put the words in his mouth; I, even I, will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you are to do.

Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD with which He had sent him, and all the signs that He had commanded him to do.

and Aaron said all the words which the LORD had spoken to Moses. Then Moses performed the signs [given to him by God] before the people.

"Let labor be heavier on the men, and let them work [hard] at it so that they will pay no attention to [their God's] lying words."

and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation [set apart for My purpose].' These are the words that you shall speak to the Israelites."

So Moses called for the elders of the people, and told them all these words which the LORD commanded him.
