Then God said, "Behold, I have given to you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has the fruit of the tree yielding seed; it shall be food for you;

but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat from it; for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."

Then the man said,"This one finally is bone of my bones,And flesh of my flesh;This one shall be called Woman,Because this one was taken out of Man."

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which Yahweh God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?"

but from the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God said, ‘You shall not eat from it, and you shall not touch it, lest you die.'"

And I will put enmityBetween you and the woman,And between your seed and her seed;He shall bruise you on the head,And you shall bruise him on the heel."

Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it';Cursed is the ground because of you;In pain you will eat of itAll the days of your life.

Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you;And you will eat the plants of the field;

By the sweat of your faceYou will eat bread,Till you return to the ground,Because from it you were taken;For you are dust,And to dust you shall return."

Then Yahweh said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever because he indeed is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be 120 years."

Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and you shall cover it inside and out with pitch.

Now this is how you shall make it: the length of the ark 300 cubits, its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits.

You shall make a window for the ark, and complete it to one cubit from the top; and set the door of the ark in the side of it; you shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.

As for Me, behold I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall breathe its last.

But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you.

And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.

As for you, take for yourself some of all food which is edible, and gather it to yourself; and it shall be for food for you and for them."

You shall take with you of every clean animal by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean, two, a male and his female;

Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; as with the green plant, I give all to you.
