but Eli called him and said, “Samuel, my son.” Then `Eli called Shemu'el, and said, Shemu'el, my son. He said, Here am I. Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I. Then Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son!" And he said, "Here I am." But Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son." And he said, "Here I am." but Eli called to him, "Samuel, my son!" Samuel answered, "I am here." However, Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son!" He replied, "Here I am." But Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son." And he answered, "Here I am." Then Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son." And he said, "Here I am." Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel my sonne. And he answered, Here I am. Then Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son." And he said, "Here I am." But Eli told him, "Samuel, my boy, come here!" "Here I am," Samuel answered. Then ‘Eli called Sh'mu'el: "Sh'mu'el, my son!" He answered, "Here I am." And Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he said, Here am I. But Eli said to Samuel, "Samuel, my son." Samuel answered, "Yes, sir." Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I. Eli called him, "Samuel, my boy!" "Yes, sir," answered Samuel. And Eli called Samuel and said, Samuel, my son. And he said, Behold me. Then Eli called him & sayde: Samuel my sonne. He answered: Beholde, here am I. Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he said, Here am I. Then Eli said, Samuel, my son. And Samuel answering said, Here am I. Then Eli called Samuel, and sayde: Samuel, my sonne. And he aunswered: Here am I. Then Eli called Samuel, and said: 'Samuel, my son.' And he said: 'Here am I.' Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel my sonne. And he answered, Here am I. And Heli said to Samuel, Samuel, my son; and he said, Behold, here am I. Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he said, Here Am I. but Eli called to him and said, "Samuel, my son." "Here I am," answered Samuel. Therfor Heli clepide Samuel, and seide, Samuel, my sone. And he answeride and seide, Y am redi. And Eli calleth Samuel, and saith, `Samuel, my son;' and he saith, `Here [am] I.' Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he said, Here I am. Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here [am] I. Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. He said, Here am I. Then Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son!" He answered, "Here I am." But Eli called out to him, "Samuel, my son." "Here I am," Samuel replied. Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son." And Samuel said, "Here I am." But Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son." He said, "Here I am." So Eli called Samuel, and said - Samuel! my son. And he said - Behold me! Then Heli called Samuel, and said: Samuel, my son. And he answered: Here am I. But Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son." And he said, "Here I am." And Eli calls Samuel and says, "Samuel, my son"; and he says, "Here I [am]." But then Eli summoned Samuel: "Samuel, my son!" Samuel came running: "Yes? What can I do for you?" Then Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son." And he said, "Here I am."

Then Eli called Samuel,.... Perceiving he was risen by the opening of the doors of the tabernacle, which he might hear; and observing he did not come to him as usual, to know whether he wanted anything, and being impatient to hear what was said to him of the Lord:

and he said, Samuel, my son; called him by his name, and in a very tender and affectionate manner, the more to engage him to hasten to him, and thereby also putting him in mind of his filial duty to obey him:

and he answered, here am I; ready to attend and perform any service enjoined him.
