3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last dayes scoffers, walking after their owne lusts,

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come (d)in the last days with scoffing, (e)following their own sinful desires.

The Coming Day of the Lord

3 (C1)Know this first of all, that (C2)in the last days (C3)mockers will come with their mocking, (C4)following after their own lusts, 3 It is most important for you to understand what will happen in the last days. People will laugh at you. They will live doing the evil things they want to do.

The Coming Day of the Lord

3 (C1)Know this first of all, that (C2)in the last days (C3)mockers will come with their mocking, (C4)following after their own lusts,

3 Most importantly, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

3 But first you must realize that in the last days some people won't think about anything except their own selfish desires. They will make fun of you

3 First, understand this: during the Last Days, scoffers will come, following their own desires

3 knowing this first, that there shall come at [the] close of the days mockers with mocking, walking according to their own lusts,

3 It is important for you to understand what will happen in the last days. People will laugh at you. They will live following the evil they want to do.

3 This first vnderstande, that there shall come in the last dayes, mockers, which wil walke after their lustes,

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days mockers who scoff, following after their own lusts, 3 (a)First of all, you must understand that in the last days some people will appear whose lives are controlled by their own lusts. They will make fun of you 3 above all knowing this, that in the last days scoffers will come with scoffing, following according to their own desires

3 first, knowing this, that during the last days scoffers will come walking according to their own lusts,

The Coming Day of the Lord

3 (C1)First of all, know without any doubt that (C2)mockers will come (C3)in the last days with their mocking, (C4)following after their own human desires 3 knowing this first, that [a]in the last days mockers shall come with mockery, walking after their own lusts,

3 Having first of all the knowledge that in the last days there will be men who, ruled by their evil desires, will make sport of holy things,

3 knowing this first, that in the last days mockers will come, walking after their own lusts,

3 First of all you must understand this: In the last days mockers will come and, following their own desires, will ridicule us[xr]

3 This first know you, that there will come in the last of the days deriders who will deride, as after their own lusts they walk,

3 knowing this previously, that there will come in the last days scoffers, who will scoff, walking according to their own lusts;

3 This first vnderstande, that there shall come in the laste dayes mockers, whiche wyll walke after their owne lustes,

3 knowing this first, that in the last days mockers shall come with mockery, walking after their own lusts,

3 knowing this first, that in the last days mockers will come, walking after their own lusts,

3 that there will come scoffers in the last days,

3 But, above all, remember that, in the last days, men will come who make a mock at everything--men governed only by their own passions,

3 First wite ye this thing, that in the laste daies disseyueris schulen come in disseit, goynge aftir her owne coueityngis,

3 knowing this first, that in the last days mockers shall come with mockery, walking after their own desires,

3 Knowing this first, that there will come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 3 Above all, understand this: In the last days blatant scoffers will come, being propelled by their own evil urges

3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,

3 Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires.

3 First of all, I want you to know that in the last days men will laugh at the truth. They will follow their own sinful desires. 3 First of all you must understand this, that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and indulging their own lusts

3 Of this, first, taking note - that there will come, in the last of the days, with scoffing, scoffers, after their own covetings, going on,

3 Knowing this first: That in the last days there shall come deceitful scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

3 First of all you must understand this, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own passions

3 This fyrst vnderstode that ther shall come in the last dayes mockers which will walke after their awne lustes

3 this first knowing, that there shall come in the latter end of the days scoffers, according to their own desires going on,

3 knowing this first, that there will come scoffers in the last days, going on according to their own desires,

3 This first vnderstonde, that in the last dayes there shal come mockers, which wyll walke after their awne lustes,

3 Above all things you are to know, that in these last times, impostors will appear, who will abandon themselves to their own sensual passions, whose cry will be, 3-4 First off, you need to know that in the last days, mockers are going to have a heyday. Reducing everything to the level of their puny feelings, they'll mock, "So what's happened to the promise of his Coming? Our ancestors are dead and buried, and everything's going on just as it has from the first day of creation. Nothing's changed."3 First off, there will come a day when people make fun of God in broad daylight and do nothing except worship their own lustful wants and needs. They'll laugh in your face for riding for Jesus 4 saying, “Where is his ‘coming’ that he promised?(C1) Ever since our ancestors fell asleep,(C2) all things continue as they have been since the beginning of creation.” 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his comming? For since the fathers fell asleepe, all things continue as they were fro the beginning of the creation.

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 4 (f)They will say, "Where is the promise of (g)his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation."4 and saying, "(C1)Where is the promise of His (C2)coming? For ever since the fathers (F1)(C3)fell asleep, all things continue just as they were (C4)from the beginning of creation." 4 They will say, "Jesus promised to come again. Where is he? Our fathers have died, but the world continues the way it has been since it was made." 4 and saying, "(C1)Where is the promise of His (C2)coming? For ever since the fathers (C3)fell asleep, all continues just as it was (C4)from the beginning of creation."4 “Where is the promise of His coming?” they will ask. “Ever since our fathers fell asleep, everything continues as it has from the beginning of creation.” 4 and say, "Didn't your Lord promise to come back? Yet the first leaders have already died, and the world hasn't changed a bit." 4 and asking, "Where is this promised ‘coming' of his? For our fathers have died, and everything goes on just as it has since the beginning of creation."

4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for from the time the fathers fell asleep all things remain thus from [the] beginning of [the] creation. 4 They will say, "Jesus promised to come again. Where is he? Our fathers have died, but the world continues the way it has been since it was made."4 And say, Where is the promes of his comming? for since the fathers died, all things continue alike from the beginning of the creation.4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since our fathers passed away, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 4 and will ask, "He promised to come, didn't he? Where is he? Our ancestors have already died, but everything is still the same as it was since the creation of the world!" 4 and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since[a] the fathers fell asleep, all things have continued just as they have been from the beginning of creation." 4 and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For from which time the fathers fell asleep, all things remain so from the beginning of creation.4 and saying, "(C1)Where is the promise of His (C2)coming what has become of it? For ever since the fathers (C3)fell asleep in death, all things have continued exactly as they did (C4)from the beginning of creation." 4 and saying, Where is the promise of his [b]coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 4 Saying, Where is the hope of his coming? From the death of the fathers till now everything has gone on as it was from the making of the world.4 and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming?" For, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 4 by saying, "What happened to his promise to return? Ever since our ancestors died,[fn] everything continues as it did from the beginning of creation."[xr] 4 and saying, Where is the promise of his advent ? for, since our fathers have slept, every thing (abideth) as from the beginning of the creation.4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, since our fathers fell asleep, every thing remaineth just as from the beginning of the creation.4 And say: Where is the promise of his commyng? For sence the fathers dyed, all thynges continue a lyke from the begynnyng of the creation.4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 4 and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming?" For, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 4 walking after their own desires, Saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.4 and, asking, "What has become of His promised Return? For from the time our forefathers fell asleep all things continue as they have been ever since the creation of the world."4 seiynge, Where is the biheest, or the comyng of hym? for sithen the fadris dieden, alle thingis lasten fro the bigynnyng of creature.4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation. 4 and saying, "Where is his promised return? For ever since our ancestors died, all things have continued as they were from the beginning of creation." 4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." 4 They will say, "What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created." 4 They will say, "He promised to come again. Where is He? Since our early fathers died, everything is the same from the beginning of the world." 4 and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since our ancestors died,[a] all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation!" 4 and saying - Where is the promise of his presence? For, since the fathers fell asleep, all things, thus remain, from the beginning of creation.4 Saying: Where is his promise or his coming? For since the time that the fathers slept, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.4 and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things have continued as they were from the beginning of creation."4 and saye. Where is the promes of his comynge? For sence ye fathers dyed all thinges cotinue in ye same estate wher in they were at ye begynninge.4 and saying, `Where is the promise of his presence? for since the fathers did fall asleep, all things so remain from the beginning of the creation;'4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things so remain from the beginning of the creation";4 & saye: Where is the promes of his commynge? For sence the fathers fell on slepe, euery thinge contynueth as it was from the begynnynge of ye creature.4 "where is the promise of his coming? for since our fathers are dead, the state of things is the same it has ever been since the beginning of the world." 4 and will ask, "Where is this cowboy who said he would come and save you? I don't see him! Show him to us. All of our ancestors have died and nothing has changed since the world began."

5 They deliberately overlook this: By the word of God(C1) the heavens came into being long ago and the earth was brought about from water and through water.(C2) 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heauens were of olde, and the earth standing out of the water, and in the water,

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 5 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth (h)was formed out of water and through water (i)by the word of God,5 For (F1)when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that (C1)by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was (C2)formed out of water and by water, 5 But they do not want to remember what happened long ago. By the word of God heaven was made, and the earth was made from water and with water. 5 For (F1)when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that (C1)by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was (C2)formed out of water and by water,5 But they deliberately overlook the fact that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water,

5 They will say this because they want to forget that long ago the heavens and the earth were made at God's command. The earth came out of water and was made from water. 5 But, wanting so much to be right about this, they overlook the fact that it was by God's Word that long ago there were heavens, and there was land which arose out of water and existed between the waters,

5 For this is hidden from them through their own wilfulness, that heavens were of old, and an earth, having its subsistence out of water and in water, by the word of God,

5 But these people don't want to remember what happened long ago. The skies were there, and God made the earth from water and with water. All this happened by God's word.5 For this they willingly know not, that the heauens were of olde, and the earth that was of the water and by the water, by the word of God.5 Of this they are willingly ignorant: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water, and in the water; 5 (b)They purposely ignore the fact that long ago God gave a command, and the heavens and earth were created. The earth was formed out of water and by water, 5 For when[b] they maintain this, it escapes their notice that the heavens existed long ago and the earth held together out of water and through water by the word of God, 5 For this is hidden from them by their willing it so , that heavens were of old, and earth by water, and through water, having subsisted by the Word of God,5 For they willingly forget the fact that the heavens existed long ago (C1)by the word of God, and the earth was (C2)formed (F1)out of water and by water, 5 For this they wilfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and [c]amidst water, by the word of God; 5 But in taking this view they put out of their minds the memory that in the old days there was a heaven, and an earth lifted out of the water and circled by water, by the word of God;5 For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an eretz formed out of water and amid water, by the word of God; 5 But they deliberately ignore the fact that long ago the heavens existed and the earth was formed by God's word out of water and with water,[xr] 5 5 Unknown to them is this while they are willing, that the heaven was from of old, and the earth from the waters and through the waters [fn] subsisted, by the word of Aloha: 5 For this they willingly forget, that the heavens were of old; and the earth rose up from the waters, and by means of water, by the word of God.5 For this they knowe not (and that wylfully) howe that the heauens were of olde, and the earth that was of the water, and by the water, by the worde of God:5 For this they wilfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the word of God; 5 For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth formed out of water and amid water, by the word of God; 5 For this they are willingly ignorant of, that by the word of God of old the heavens were and the earth, standing out of the water and in the water,5 For they are wilfully blind to the fact that there were heavens which existed of old, and an earth, the latter arising out of water and extending continuously through water, by the command of God;5 But it is hid fro hem willynge this thing, that heuenes were bifore, and the erthe of water was stondynge bi watir, of Goddis word;5 For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amid water, by the word of God;5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 5 For they deliberately suppress this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water. 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,

5 They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. 5 But they want to forget that God spoke and the heavens were made long ago. The earth was made out of water and water was all around it. 5 They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water, 5 For this they, willfully, forget - that there were, heavens, from of old, and, an earth, on account of water and by means of water, compacted, by God's word, - 5 For this they are wilfully ignorant of: That the heavens were before, and the earth out of water and through water, consisting by the word of God:5 They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago, and an earth formed out of water and by means of water,5 This they knowe not (and that willyngly) how that the hevens a great whyle ago were and the erth that was in the water appered vp out of the water by the worde of god:5 for this is unobserved by them willingly, that the heavens were of old, and the earth out of water and through water standing together by the word of God,5 for this they willingly conceal, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth having been established by the word of God out of water and through water,5 This they knowe not (and that wylfully) how that the heauens were afore tyme also, and the earth out of the water, & was in the water by the worde of God,5 but they are wilfully ignorant, that the heavens were originally form'd by the divine Logos, and likewise the earth, which was separated from the water, and still subsists upon it. 5-7 They conveniently forget that long ago all the galaxies and this very planet were brought into existence out of watery chaos by God's word. Then God's word brought the chaos back in a flood that destroyed the world. The current galaxies and earth are fuel for the final fire. God is poised, ready to speak his word again, ready to give the signal for the judgment and destruction of the desecrating skeptics.

5 They've heard the truth, but chosen to ignore it. With a word, God created all the heavens and earth. The land was brought up out of the water, 6 Through these the world of that time perished when it was flooded.(C1) 6 Whereby the world that then was, being ouerflowed with water, perished.

6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 6 and that by means of these the world that then existed (j)was deluged with water and (k)perished.6 through which (C1)the world at that time was (C2)destroyed by being flooded with water. 6 Then the world was flooded and destroyed with water. 6 through which (C1)the world at that time was (C2)destroyed, being flooded with water.6 through which(a) the world of that time perished in the flood. 6 Later it was destroyed by the waters of a mighty flood. 6 and that by means of these things the world of that time was flooded with water and destroyed.

6 through which [waters] the then world, deluged with water, perished. 6 Then the world was flooded and destroyed with water.6 Wherefore the worlde that then was, perished, ouerflowed with the water.6 And those men, because of whose deeds the world of that time was overflowed with water, perished: 6 (c)and it was also by water, the water of the flood, that the old world was destroyed. 6 by means of which things the world that existed at that time was destroyed by[c] being inundated with water. 6 through which the world which then was, being flooded by water, perished.
