12 You say, "For me, everything is permitted"? Maybe, but not everything is helpful. "For me, everything is permitted"? Maybe, but as far as I am concerned, I am not going to let anything gain control over me. 12 All things are lawful to me, but all things do not profit; all things are lawful to me, but *I* will not be brought under the power of any. 12 "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are expedient. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of anything. 12 Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is helpful. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not allow anything to control me.1 Corinthians 10:23;">[xr] 12 ALL (food) is lawful to me, but all is not expedient for me. All is lawful to me, but over me no one shall have power. 12 12 Every thing is in my power: but every thing is not profitable to me. Pero el que está unido al Señor - El verdadero cristiano, unido por la fe al Señor Jesús; ver Juan 15:1 ff.

Es un espíritu - Es decir, en un sentido similar a aquel en el que un hombre y su esposa son un solo cuerpo. No debe tomarse literalmente; pero el sentido es que hay una unión íntima y cercana; están unidos en sentimiento, espíritu, intención, disposición. El argumento es hermoso. Es: “Como la unión de las almas es más importante que la de los cuerpos; como esa unión es más duradera, querida y duradera de lo que puede ser cualquier unión de cuerpo con cuerpo, y como nuestra unión con él es con un Espíritu puro y santo, es inapropiado que cortemos ese lazo y rompamos ese vínculo sagrado , al unirse a una ramera. La unión con Cristo es más íntima, completa y pura de lo que puede ser entre un hombre y una mujer; y esa unión debe considerarse como sagrada e inviolable ". ¡Oh, si todos los cristianos sintieran y consideraran esto como deberían, cómo se alejarían de las conexiones que a menudo forman en la tierra! Verso 17. Es un espíritu... El que está unido a Dios por la fe en Cristo Jesús, recibe su Espíritu y se hace partícipe de la naturaleza divina. ¿Quién puede cambiar tal relación por la comunión con una ramera o para cualquier tipo de gratificación sensual? ¡El que puede debe estar lejos y profundamente caído!
