And Yahweh said to Noah, Come you and all your house into the ark; for you I have seen righteous before me in this generation.

Surely not a man of these men of this evil generation shall see the good land, which I swore to give to your fathers,

This was the word of Yahweh which he spoke to Jehu, saying, Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel. And so it came to pass.

You will keep them, O Yahweh, You will preserve them from this generation forever.

This is the generation of those that seek after him, That seek your face, Jacob. Selah.

This shall be written for the generation to come; And a people which shall be created shall praise Yah.

But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces, who call to their fellows

The men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and look, a greater than Jonah is here.

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and look, a greater than Solomon is here.

Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. Even so it shall be also to this evil generation.

Truly I say to you, All these things shall come on this generation.

Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass away, until all these things are accomplished.

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and says, Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly I say to you, There shall no sign be given to this generation.

For whoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also shall be ashamed of him, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass away, until all these things be accomplished.

To what then shall I liken the men of this generation, and to what are they like?

And when the multitudes were gathering together to him, he began to say, This generation is an evil generation: it seeks after a sign; and there shall be no sign given to it but the sign of Jonah.

For even as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
