Now it came to pass

in his house

made of cedar

hā·’ă·rā·zîm,

הָֽאֲרָזִ֔ים

of the covenant

[remaineth] curtains

yə·rî·‘ō·wṯ.

[is] in your heart

bil·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā

בִּֽלְבָבְךָ֖

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

And it came to pass

בַּלַּ֣יְלָה

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֙

for Me to dwell

יָשַׁ֙בְתִּי֙

I brought up

הֶעֱלֵ֙יתִי֙

but have gone

[one] and from tent

ū·mim·miš·kān.

וּמִמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃

I have walked

hiṯ·hal·laḵ·tî

הִתְהַלַּכְתִּי֮

דִּבַּ֗רְתִּי

of the judges

for Me a house

made of cedar

therefore thus

shall you say

to My servant

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

lə·qaḥ·tî·ḵā

לְקַחְתִּ֙יךָ֙

the sheepcote

[even] following

that you should be

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And I have been

you have walked

and have cut off

your enemies

from before you

mip·pā·ne·ḵā;

and have made

וְעָשִׂ֤יתִֽי

like the name

of the great men

hag·gə·ḏō·w·lîm

הַגְּדוֹלִ֖ים

in the earth

Also I will ordain

וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י

for My people

and will plant them

ū·nə·ṭa‘·tî·hū

וּנְטַעְתִּ֙יהוּ֙

and they shall dwell

in their place

shall be moved

neither them

shall any more

the children

of wickedness

lə·ḇal·lō·ṯōw,

bā·ri·šō·w·nāh.

בָּרִאשׁוֹנָֽה׃

that since the time

ū·lə·mî·yā·mîm,

וּלְמִיָּמִ֗ים

[to be] My people

Moreover I will subdue

wə·hiḵ·na‘·tî

וְהִכְנַ֖עְתִּי

your enemies

’ō·wy·ḇe·ḵā;

and Furthermore I tell

that the LORD

and it shall come to pass

that you must go

[to be] your fathers

’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā,

that I will raise up

wa·hă·qî·mō·w·ṯî

וַהֲקִֽימוֹתִ֤י

your offspring

’a·ḥă·re·ḵā,

of your sons

mib·bā·ne·ḵā;

and I will establish

wa·hă·ḵî·nō·w·ṯî

וַהֲכִינוֹתִ֖י

מַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃

for Me a house

and I will establish

wə·ḵō·nan·tî

וְכֹנַנְתִּ֥י

and take my covenant loyalty away

do take my mercy away

hă·sî·rō·w·ṯî,

הֲסִיר֔וֹתִי

[him] before

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā.

But I will settle him

wə·ha·‘ă·maḏ·tî·hū

וְהַֽעֲמַדְתִּ֛יהוּ

and in my kingdom

ū·ḇə·mal·ḵū·ṯî

וּבְמַלְכוּתִ֖י

hā·‘ō·w·lām;

and his throne

According to all

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֣ים

and according to all

[is] my house

you have brought me

hă·ḇî·’ō·ṯa·nî

הֲבִיאֹתַ֖נִי

And [yet] was a small thing

in Your eyes

בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙

[also] for you have spoken

wat·tə·ḏab·bêr

וַתְּדַבֵּ֥ר

of your servant

lə·mê·rā·ḥō·wq;

and have regarded me

ū·rə·’î·ṯa·nî,

וּרְאִיתַ֗נִי

according to the estate

of high degree

ham·ma·‘ă·lāh

הַֽמַּעֲלָ֖ה

[speak] more

for the honor

of your servant

your servant

yā·ḏā·‘ə·tā.

of for your servant

and according to your own heart

ū·ḵə·lib·bə·ḵā,

וּֽכְלִבְּךָ֔

have you done

hag·gə·ḏūl·lāh

הַגְּדוּלָּ֖ה

to make atonement

[these] great things

hag·gə·ḏul·lō·wṯ.

הַגְּדֻלּֽוֹת׃

[is there any] God

zū·lā·ṯe·ḵā;

according to all

we have heard

with our ears

bə·’ā·zə·nê·nū.

בְּאָזְנֵֽינוּ׃

[is] like your people

kə·‘am·mə·ḵā

in the earth

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

[to be] his own people

to make atonement

of greatness

gə·ḏul·lō·wṯ

and terribleness

wə·nō·rā·’ō·wṯ,

you have redeemed

out of Egypt

mim·miṣ·ra·yim

מִמִּצְרַ֖יִם

and did you make

For your people

יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל ׀

Therefore now

let the thing

you have spoken

דִּבַּ֤רְתָּ

Your servant

and concerning

be established

you have said

דִּבַּֽרְתָּ׃

and Let it even be established

wə·yê·’ā·mên

that may be magnified

[is] the God

[even] a God

lə·yiś·rā·’êl;

לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

[let] and the house

your servant [are]

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā.

have revealed

your servant

that you will build

for him a house

Your servant

[in his heart] to pray

lə·hiṯ·pal·lêl

לְהִתְפַּלֵּ֖ל

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā.

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm;

and have promised

wat·tə·ḏab·bêr

וַתְּדַבֵּר֙

haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh

therefore let it please

הוֹאַ֙לְתָּ֙

you to bless

of your servant

that it may be you

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā;

[it shall be] and blessed

lə·‘ō·w·lām.
