ū·p̄ə·liš·tîm

וּפְלִשְׁתִּים֙

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm;

way·ḇi·’u·hū

וַיְבִאֻ֛הוּ

it from Ebenezer

’aš·dō·w·ḏāh.

אַשְׁדּֽוֹדָה׃

the Philistines

פְלִשְׁתִּים֙

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm,

and they brought

way·yā·ḇî·’ū

וַיָּבִ֥יאוּ

way·yaṣ·ṣî·ḡū

וַיַּצִּ֥יגוּ

when arose early

way·yaš·ki·mū

וַיַּשְׁכִּ֤מוּ

they of Ashdod

’aš·dō·w·ḏîm

אַשְׁדּוֹדִים֙

on the next day

mim·mā·ḥo·rāṯ,

מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת

to the earth

And they took

way·yā·ši·ḇū

וַיָּשִׁ֥בוּ

in his place

lim·qō·w·mōw.

לִמְקוֹמֽוֹ׃

when they arose early

way·yaš·ki·mū

וַיַּשְׁכִּ֣מוּ

on the next day

mim·mā·ḥo·rāṯ

מִֽמָּחֳרָת֒

to the ground

and the head

וּשְׁתֵּ֣י ׀

of his hands [were]

the threshold

ham·mip̄·tān,

הַמִּפְתָּ֔ן

[the stump of] Dagon

on the threshold

bə·’aš·dō·wḏ;

בְּאַשְׁדּ֑וֹד

But was heavy

וַתִּכְבַּ֧ד

the Ashdodites

hā·’aš·dō·w·ḏîm

הָאַשְׁדּוֹדִ֖ים

and he destroyed them

way·šim·mêm;

וַיְשִׁמֵּ֑ם

[bā·‘o·p̄ā·lîm

[בָּעֳפָלִים

(baṭ·ṭə·ḥō·rîm,

(בַּטְּחֹרִ֔ים

[even] them of Ashdod

gə·ḇū·le·hā.

גְּבוּלֶֽיהָ׃

[it was] they said

wə·’ā·mə·rū,

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.

אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

and They sent

way·yiš·lə·ḥū

וַיִּשְׁלְח֡וּ

therefore and gathered

way·ya·’as·p̄ū

וַיַּאַסְפוּ֩

of the Philistines

פְלִשְׁתִּ֜ים

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙

with the ark

And they answered

way·yō·mə·rū,

וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ

be carried about

And they carried

way·yas·sêb·bū

וַיַּסֵּ֕בּוּ

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

they had carried it about

was against the city

and he struck

and in their secret parts

way·yiś·śā·ṯə·rū

וַיִּשָּׂתְר֥וּ

they had tumors

Therefore they sent

way·šal·lə·ḥū

וַֽיְשַׁלְּח֛וּ

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

And it came to pass

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

that cried out

way·yiz·‘ă·qū

וַיִּזְעֲק֨וּ

the Ekronites

hā·‘eq·rō·nîm

הָֽעֶקְרֹנִ֜ים

They have brought about

la·hă·mî·ṯê·nî

לַהֲמִיתֵ֖נִי

and our people

so they sent

way·yiš·lə·ḥū

וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ

and gathered together

way·ya·’as·p̄ū

וַיַּאַסְפ֜וּ

of the Philistines

p̄ə·liš·tîm,

פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙

and let it go again

to its own place us

do that it slay

For there was a deadly

throughout all

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

wə·hā·’ă·nā·šîm

וְהָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙

[bā·‘o·p̄ā·lîm

[בָּעֳפָלִים

with the tumors

(baṭ·ṭə·ḥō·rîm;

(בַּטְּחֹרִ֑ים

haš·šā·mā·yim.

הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃
