וְנִגְּשׁ֥וּ

הַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט

wə·hiṣ·dî·qū

וְהִצְדִּ֙יקוּ֙

the righteous

haṣ·ṣad·dîq,

wə·hir·šî·‘ū

וְהִרְשִׁ֖יעוּ

And it shall be

to be beaten

that shall cause him to lie down

wə·hip·pî·lōw

וְהִפִּיל֤וֹ

and to be beaten

wə·hik·kā·hū

in his presence

of stripes according

with the number

בְּמִסְפָּֽר׃

אַרְבָּעִ֥ים

stripes he may give him

[if] he should exceed

lə·hak·kō·ṯōw

then should seem vile

your brother

lə·‘ê·ne·ḵā.

לְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃

בְּדִישֽׁוֹ׃

perform the duty of my husbandbrother

and shall call

wə·qā·rə·’ū-

Then the elders

of his city him

wə·ḏib·bə·rū

and he stand

[to it] and say

לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃

Then shall come

wə·nig·gə·šāh

וְנִגְּשָׁ֨ה

his brotherwife

in the sight

of the elders

haz·zə·qê·nîm

הַזְּקֵנִים֒

wə·ḥā·lə·ṣāh

wə·yā·rə·qāh

and shall answer

wə·‘ā·nə·ṯāh

wə·’ā·mə·rāh,

shall it be done

of his brother

And shall be called

bə·yiś·rā·’êl;

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

of him who has his shoe

and with another

and draws near

wə·qā·rə·ḇāh

from the hand

of the one who is striking him

and puts forth her

wə·šā·lə·ḥāh

and takes him

wə·he·ḥĕ·zî·qāh

וְהֶחֱזִ֖יקָה

by the secrets

בִּמְבֻשָֽׁיו׃

Then you shall cut off

wə·qaṣ·ṣō·ṯāh

בְּכִֽיסְךָ֖

וּקְטַנָּֽה׃
