הַדְּבָרִ֣ים

the blessing

hab·bə·rā·ḵāh

and the curse

wə·haq·qə·lā·lāh,

וְהַקְּלָלָ֔ה

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā;

and you shall call

wa·hă·šê·ḇō·ṯā

וַהֲשֵׁבֹתָ֙

lə·ḇā·ḇe·ḵā,

hag·gō·w·yim,

hid·dî·ḥă·ḵā

And shall return

and shall obey

wə·šā·ma‘·tā

וְשָׁמַעְתָּ֣

according to all

mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā

and your children

according to all

and with all

that will turn

then the LORD

your captivity

and have compassion

wə·ri·ḥă·me·ḵā;

and will return

wə·qib·beṣ·ḵā

וְקִבֶּצְךָ֙

has scattered

hĕ·p̄î·ṣə·ḵā

[any] driven out

nid·da·ḥă·ḵā

to the outermost

[parts] of heaven

haš·šā·mā·yim;

הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם

yə·qab·beṣ·ḵā

יְקַבֶּצְךָ֙

your God you

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

and from there

will he fetch

yiq·qā·ḥe·ḵā.

And will bring

we·hĕ·ḇî·’ă·ḵā

וֶהֱבִֽיאֲךָ֞

your God you

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

your fathers

you shall possess

וִֽירִשְׁתָּ֑הּ

and he will do you good

wə·hê·ṭiḇ·ḵā

וְהֵיטִֽבְךָ֥

and multiply you

wə·hir·bə·ḵā

וְהִרְבְּךָ֖

above your fathers

mê·’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā.

מֵאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃

and will circumcise

of your offspring

lə·’a·hă·ḇāh

and with all

to the end that you

And will put

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

your enemies

those who hate you

rə·ḏā·p̄ū·ḵā.

shall return

wə·šā·ma‘·tā

וְשָׁמַעְתָּ֖

וְעָשִׂ֙יתָ֙

His commands

mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā

And will make you plenteous

wə·hō·w·ṯî·rə·ḵā

וְהוֹתִֽירְךָ֩

of your hand

in the offspring

of your body

and in the fruit

of your livestock

ḇə·hem·tə·ḵā

בְהֶמְתְּךָ֛

and in the fruit

of your land

’aḏ·mā·ṯə·ḵā

lə·ṭō·w·ḇāh;

for the LORD

your fathers

’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā.

you shall Listen

to the voice

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

his commands

and his statutes

wə·ḥuq·qō·ṯāw,

וְחֻקֹּתָ֔יו

that are written

hak·kə·ṯū·ḇāh

הַכְּתוּבָ֕ה

hat·tō·w·rāh

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

and with all

mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā

[is] from you

[is] far off

[is] in heaven

ḇaš·šā·ma·yim

בַשָּׁמַ֖יִם

[is] that you should say

for us to heaven

haš·šā·may·māh

הַשָּׁמַ֙יְמָה֙

wə·yiq·qā·ḥe·hā

וְיִקָּחֶ֣הָ

that we may hear

wə·yaš·mi·‘ê·nū

וְיַשְׁמִעֵ֥נוּ

wə·na·‘ă·śen·nāh.

וְנַעֲשֶֽׂנָּה׃

[is] that you should say

wə·yiq·qā·ḥe·hā

וְיִקָּחֶ֣הָ

that we may hear

wə·yaš·mi·‘ê·nū

וְיַשְׁמִעֵ֥נוּ

wə·na·‘ă·śen·nāh.

וְנַעֲשֶֽׂנָּה׃

[is] very you

in your mouth

that in your heart

ū·ḇil·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā

וּבִֽלְבָבְךָ֖

la·‘ă·śō·ṯōw.

לַעֲשֹׂתֽוֹ׃

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā

in that I command you

mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā

lə·’a·hă·ḇāh

בִּדְרָכָ֔יו

his commands

and his statutes

wə·ḥuq·qō·ṯāw

וְחֻקֹּתָ֖יו

that his judgments

ū·miš·pā·ṭāw;

וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֑יו

you may live

and multiply

wə·rā·ḇî·ṯā,

and shall bless

וּבֵֽרַכְךָ֙

your God you

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃

But shall be drawn away

wə·nid·daḥ·tā,

וְנִדַּחְתָּ֗

wə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wî·ṯā

וְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִ֛יתָ

wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tām.

וַעֲבַדְתָּֽם׃

הִגַּ֤דְתִּי

you shall surely

do [and that] prolong

ṯa·’ă·rî·ḵun

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh,

hay·yar·dên,

הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃

to record this day

haš·šā·ma·yim

הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם

wə·ham·mā·weṯ

וְהַמָּ֙וֶת֙

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā,

hab·bə·rā·ḵāh

wə·haq·qə·lā·lāh;

וְהַקְּלָלָ֑ה

therefore choose

וּבָֽחַרְתָּ֙

בַּֽחַיִּ֔ים

to the end that

and your offspring

wə·zar·‘e·ḵā.

וְזַרְעֶֽךָ׃

lə·’a·hă·ḇāh

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

that you may cleave

ū·lə·ḏā·ḇə·qāh-

וּלְדָבְקָה־

[is] your life

and the length

of your days

that you may dwell

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh,

to your fathers

la·’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā

לַאֲבֹתֶ֛יךָ

lə·’aḇ·rā·hām

לְאַבְרָהָ֛ם

and to Jacob

ū·lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ

וּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֖ב
