וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ

the children

it be bestowed

bə·šiḇ·tê·nū

בְּשִׁבְתֵּ֙נוּ֙

when we did eat

bə·’ā·ḵə·lê·nū

בְּאָכְלֵ֥נוּ

you have brought

הַמִּדְבָּ֣ר

haš·šā·mā·yim;

הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם

and shall go out

bə·yō·w·mōw,

to the end that

’ă·nas·sen·nū

אֲנַסֶּ֛נּוּ

whether they will walk

in My instructions

bə·ṯō·w·rā·ṯî

בְּתוֹרָתִ֖י

no unto them

And it shall come to pass

הַשִּׁשִּׁ֔י

that they shall prepare

[that] which

they bring in

and it shall be

[that] which

wə·’a·hă·rōn,

the children

you shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם

has brought out

from the land

then in the morning

you shall see

for He hears

bə·šā·mə·‘ōw

בְּשָׁמְע֥וֹ

your grumbling

tə·lun·nō·ṯê·ḵem

תְּלֻנֹּתֵיכֶ֖ם

[ṯal·lō·w·nū

in the evening

in the morning

because hears

your grumbling

tə·lun·nō·ṯê·ḵem,

תְּלֻנֹּ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם

[have done] what

your grumblings [are]

ṯə·lun·nō·ṯê·ḵem

תְלֻנֹּתֵיכֶ֖ם

the congregation

he has heard

your grumbling

tə·lun·nō·ṯê·ḵem.

תְּלֻנֹּתֵיכֶֽם׃

And it came to pass

congregation

that they looked

the wilderness

ham·miḏ·bār;

הַמִּדְבָּ֑ר

in the cloud

I have heard

שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי

the grumbling

hā·‘ar·ba·yim

הָֽעַרְבַּ֙יִם֙

you shall eat

and in the morning

ū·ḇab·bō·qer

you shall be filled

תִּשְׂבְּעוּ־

you shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

And it came to pass

that in the evening

ham·ma·ḥă·neh;

הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה

and in the morning

ū·ḇab·bō·qer,

it happened that

lam·ma·ḥă·neh.

לַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃

when was gone up

of the wilderness

הַמִּדְבָּר֙

[there lay] a small

flake-like thing

as the frost

the children

of Israel [it]

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ

has commanded

as his mouth

for every man

lag·gul·gō·leṯ,

לַגֻּלְגֹּ֗לֶת

according to the number

of your persons

nap̄·šō·ṯê·ḵem,

נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם

bə·’ā·ho·lōw

way·ya·‘ă·śū-

וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־

the children

and gathered

way·yil·qə·ṭū,

וַֽיִּלְקְט֔וּ

הַמַּרְבֶּ֖ה

And some less

wə·ham·mam·‘îṭ.

וְהַמַּמְעִֽיט׃

when they did measure [it]

way·yā·mōd·dū

וַיָּמֹ֣דּוּ

with an omer

he who gathered much

ham·mar·beh,

הַמַּרְבֶּ֔ה

and he who gathered little

wə·ham·mam·‘îṭ

וְהַמַּמְעִ֖יט

as his mouth

they listened

and of them left

way·yō·w·ṯi·rū

וַיּוֹתִ֨רוּ

way·yiḇ·’aš;

וַיִּבְאַ֑שׁ

and was angry

way·yiq·ṣōp̄

And they gathered

way·yil·qə·ṭū

וַיִּלְקְט֤וּ

as his mouth

and became hot

And it melted

and it came to pass [that]

הַשִּׁשִּׁ֗י

they gathered

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙

of the congregation

way·yag·gî·ḏū

וַיַּגִּ֖ידוּ

[is] that which

the day of rest

šab·bā·ṯō·wn

[is] Tomorrow

you will bake

tə·ḇaš·šə·lū

תְּבַשְּׁלוּ֙

you will boil

remaining over

lə·miš·me·reṯ

לְמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶת

And they laid up

way·yan·nî·ḥū

וַיַּנִּ֤יחוּ

and any worm

you will find it

ṯim·ṣā·’u·hū

תִמְצָאֻ֖הוּ

in the field

בַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃

you shall gather

til·qə·ṭu·hū;

תִּלְקְטֻ֑הוּ

but on the seventh

haš·šə·ḇî·‘î

הַשְּׁבִיעִ֛י

[which is] the Sabbath

in it there shall be

And it came to pass

haš·šə·ḇî·‘î,

הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י

[that] there went out

מֵֽאַנְתֶּ֔ם

wə·ṯō·w·rō·ṯāy.

וְתוֹרֹתָֽי׃

that the LORD

הַשִּׁשִּׁ֖י

yō·w·mā·yim;

in his place

of his place

mim·mə·qō·mōw

haš·šə·ḇî·‘î.

הַשְּׁבִיעִֽי׃

way·yiš·bə·ṯū

וַיִּשְׁבְּת֥וּ

haš·šə·ḇi·‘î.

הַשְּׁבִעִֽי׃

way·yiq·rə·’ū

וַיִּקְרְא֧וּ

thereof Manna

[was] like the seed

and the taste [was]

kə·ṣap·pî·ḥiṯ

כְּצַפִּיחִ֥ת

lə·miš·me·reṯ

לְמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶת

for your generations

lə·ḏō·rō·ṯê·ḵem;

לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶ֑ם

to the end that

they may see

he·’ĕ·ḵal·tî

הֶאֱכַ֤לְתִּי

in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār,

בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר

when I brought forth

bə·hō·w·ṣî·’î

בְּהוֹצִיאִ֥י

from the land

lə·miš·me·reṯ

לְמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶת

for the generations

lə·ḏō·rō·ṯê·ḵem.

לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

so laid it up

way·yan·nî·ḥê·hū

וַיַּנִּיחֵ֧הוּ

the Testimony

לְמִשְׁמָֽרֶת׃

and the children

אַרְבָּעִ֣ים

nō·wō·šā·ḇeṯ;

they did eat

wə·hā·‘ō·mer
