וַיְצַוֵּ֙הוּ֙

and multiply you

that you may possess

לְרִשְׁתְּךָ֙

And sent away

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח

to Padan-aram

hā·’ă·ram·mî,

הָֽאֲרַמִּ֔י

and sent away

to Padan-aram

that as he blessed

bə·ḇā·ră·ḵōw

and he gave a charge

from the daughters

mib·bə·nō·wṯ

וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע

and was gone

to Padan-aram

the daughers

יִשְׁמָעֵ֑אל

the daughter

יִשְׁמָעֵ֨אל

the wives [already]

And went out

toward Haran

And he came to

way·yip̄·ga‘

וַיִּפְגַּ֨ע

a certain place

bam·mā·qō·wm

and spent the night

of the stones

of that place

ham·mā·qō·wm,

and put them

for his pillows

mə·ra·’ă·šō·ṯāw;

מְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָ֑יו

and lay down

וַיִּשְׁכַּ֖ב

in the place

bam·mā·qō·wm

And he dreamed

way·ya·ḥă·lōm,

וַֽיַּחֲלֹ֗ם

on the earth

haš·šā·mā·yə·māh;

הַשָּׁמָ֑יְמָה

were ascending

and descending

wə·yō·rə·ḏîm

’et·tə·nen·nāh

אֶתְּנֶ֖נָּה

and to your offspring

ū·lə·zar·‘e·ḵā.

וּלְזַרְעֶֽךָ׃

And shall be

your offspring

of the earth

and you shall spread abroad

ū·p̄ā·raṣ·tā

וּפָרַצְתָּ֛

and to the east

wā·qê·ḏə·māh

and to the north

wə·ṣā·p̄ō·nāh

and to the south

and will be blessed

wə·niḇ·ră·ḵū

וְנִבְרֲכ֥וּ

the families

מִשְׁפְּחֹ֥ת

of the earth

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh

and in your offspring

ū·ḇə·zar·‘e·ḵā.

וּבְזַרְעֶֽךָ׃

and will keep you

ū·šə·mar·tî·ḵā

וּשְׁמַרְתִּ֙יךָ֙

and will bring you again

wa·hă·ši·ḇō·ṯî·ḵā,

וַהֲשִׁ֣בֹתִ֔יךָ

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh

I will leave you

’e·‘ĕ·zā·ḇə·ḵā,

אֶֽעֱזָבְךָ֔

I have promised

דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי

from his sleep

miš·šə·nā·ṯōw

מִשְּׁנָתוֹ֒

bam·mā·qō·wm

yā·ḏā·‘ə·tî.

יָדָֽעְתִּי׃

And he was afraid

ham·mā·qō·wm

[is] the house

[is] the gate

haš·šā·mā·yim.

הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

And rose up early

וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨ם

in the morning

under his head

mə·ra·’ă·šō·ṯāw,

מְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָ֔יו

[for] a pillar

And he called

of the place

ham·mā·qō·wm

[was called] Luz

of that city

at the first

lā·ri·šō·nāh.

לָרִאשֹׁנָֽה׃

and will keep

ū·šə·mā·ra·nî

וּשְׁמָרַ֙נִי֙

and will give

and garments

so that I return again

וְשַׁבְתִּ֥י

of my father

shall the LORD

wə·hā·’e·ḇen

for a pillar

you shall give

I will surely

give the tenth

’ă·‘aś·śə·ren·nū

אֲעַשְּׂרֶ֥נּוּ
