hā·‘ă·ḏā·rîm;

wə·hā·’e·ḇen

And gathered

wə·ne·’es·p̄ū-

וְנֶאֶסְפוּ־

hā·‘ă·ḏā·rîm,

and they rolled

וְהֵשִׁ֧יבוּ

in its place

לִמְקֹמָֽהּ׃

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū,

וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ

’ă·nā·ḥə·nū.

הַיְדַעְתֶּ֖ם

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ

We know [him]

yā·ḏā·‘ə·nū.

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ

his daughter

[is it] time that

should be gathered together

the livestock

ham·miq·neh;

pasture them

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְרוּ֮

be gathered together

yê·’ā·sə·p̄ū

hā·‘ă·ḏā·rîm,

הָ֣עֲדָרִ֔ים

and [until] they roll

then we will water

wə·hiš·qî·nū

וְהִשְׁקִ֖ינוּ

while he yet

thet were of

lə·’ā·ḇî·hā,

And it came to pass

the daughter

of his mother

of his mother

then went near

of his mother

and lifted up

and wept aloud

וַיֵּֽבְךְּ׃

of her father

lə·’ā·ḇî·hā.

And it came to pass

of his sister

and embraced

way·ḥab·beq-

way·naš·šeq-

וַיְנַשֶּׁק־

and brought him

way·ḇî·’ê·hū

וַיְבִיאֵ֖הוּ

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

and my flesh

And he stayed

lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ,

and should you therefore serve me

wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·ta·nî

וַעֲבַדְתַּ֖נִי

[shall be] your wages

maś·kur·te·ḵā.

מַּשְׂכֻּרְתֶּֽךָ׃

of the elder

hag·gə·ḏō·lāh

and the name

of the younger

haq·qə·ṭan·nāh

הַקְּטַנָּ֖ה

[was] Rachel

way·ye·’ĕ·haḇ

I will serve you

’e·‘ĕ·ḇā·ḏə·ḵā

אֶֽעֱבָדְךָ֙

your daughter

haq·qə·ṭan·nāh.

הַקְּטַנָּֽה׃

[It is] better

way·ya·‘ă·ḇōḏ

but they seemed

for he loved

bə·’a·hă·ḇā·ṯōw

בְּאַהֲבָת֖וֹ

are fulfilled

that I may go in

wə·’ā·ḇō·w·’āh

And gathered together

way·ye·’ĕ·sōp̄

of the place

ham·mā·qō·wm

And it came to pass

in the evening

that he took

his daughter

and he went in

šip̄·ḥā·ṯōw;

to his daughter

[for] a maidservant

And it came to pass

that in the morning

you have done

have you tricked me

rim·mî·ṯā·nî.

רִמִּיתָֽנִי׃

in our place

bim·qō·w·mê·nū;

בִּמְקוֹמֵ֑נוּ

haṣ·ṣə·‘î·rāh

הַצְּעִירָ֖ה

the firstborn

hab·bə·ḵî·rāh.

הַבְּכִירָֽה׃

and we will give

wə·nit·tə·nāh

for the service

ba·‘ă·ḇō·ḏāh

you shall serve

’ă·ḥê·rō·wṯ.

and fulfilled

then he gave

way·yit·ten-

his daughter

his daughter

his handmaid

šip̄·ḥā·ṯōw;

lə·šip̄·ḥāh.

לְשִׁפְחָֽה׃

And he went in

and he loved

way·ye·’ĕ·haḇ

more than Leah

way·ya·‘ă·ḇōḏ

’ă·ḥê·rō·wṯ.

then he opened

way·yip̄·taḥ

וַיִּפְתַּ֖ח

[was] barren

And conceived

and she called

on my affliction

will love me

ye·’ĕ·hā·ḇa·nî

יֶאֱהָבַ֥נִי

And she conceived

therefore he has given

way·yit·ten-

and she called

And she conceived

will my husband

And she conceived

and she said

will I praise

and she stopped

wat·ta·‘ă·mōḏ

וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֖ד

bearing children
