the children

[even] congregation

to the wilderness

hā·ri·šō·wn,

הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן

and was buried

wat·tiq·qā·ḇêr

וַתִּקָּבֵ֖ר

and they gathered themselves together

way·yiq·qā·hă·lū,

וַיִּקָּ֣הֲל֔וּ

And quarreled

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ

הַמִּדְבָּ֖ר

and our livestock

וּבְעִירֵֽנוּ׃

out of Egypt

mim·miṣ·ra·yim,

מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם

ham·mā·qō·wm

of offspring

wə·rim·mō·wn,

[is] there any water

לִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃

wə·’a·hă·rōn

from the presence

of the assembly

and they fell

way·yip·pə·lū

וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ

and appeared

ham·maṭ·ṭeh,

so you shall give the congregation

wə·’a·hă·rōn

your brother

and speak you

wə·ḏib·bar·tem

וְדִבַּרְתֶּ֧ם

before their eyes

lə·‘ê·nê·hem

לְעֵינֵיהֶ֖ם

and it shall give forth

and you shall bring forth

wə·hō·w·ṣê·ṯā

wə·hiš·qî·ṯā

וְהִשְׁקִיתָ֥

let the congregation

their beasts

he commanded

And gathered

way·yaq·hi·lū

וַיַּקְהִ֜לוּ

wə·’a·hă·rōn

the assembly

must we fetch

And lifted up

and he struck

with his staff

bə·maṭ·ṭê·hū

בְּמַטֵּ֖הוּ

pa·‘ă·mā·yim;

and came out

way·yê·ṣə·’ū

וַתֵּ֥שְׁתְּ

the congregation

and their beasts

ū·ḇə·‘î·rām.

וּבְעִירָֽם׃

do you believed

he·’ĕ·man·tem

הֶאֱמַנְתֶּ֣ם

lə·haq·dî·šê·nî,

לְהַ֨קְדִּישֵׁ֔נִי

in the sight

congregation

I have given

the children

and he was consecrated

way·yiq·qā·ḏêš

וַיִּקָּדֵ֖שׁ

וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח

your brother

hat·tə·lā·’āh

has befallen

mə·ṣā·’ā·ṯə·nū.

מְצָאָֽתְנוּ׃

and went down

way·yê·rə·ḏū

How our fathers

אֲבֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙

miṣ·ray·māh,

מִצְרַ֔יְמָה

and we have dwelled

bə·miṣ·ra·yim

בְּמִצְרַ֖יִם

and mistreated

way·yā·rê·‘ū

the Egyptians

and our fathers

wə·la·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·nū.

וְלַאֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃

when we cried

and he heard

וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע

וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח

and has brought us forth

way·yō·ṣi·’ê·nū

וַיֹּצִאֵ֖נוּ

out of Egypt

mim·miṣ·rā·yim;

מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם

in the uttermost

of your border

ḡə·ḇū·le·ḵā.

through your country

ḇə·’ar·ṣe·ḵā,

do pass through

or through the vineyards

ū·ḇə·ḵe·rem,

will we drink

[of] the water

of by the king

to the right hand

nor to the left

we have passed

your borders

gə·ḇū·le·ḵā.

גְּבוּלֶֽךָ׃

with the sword

liq·rā·ṯe·ḵā.

לִקְרָאתֶֽךָ׃

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ

the children

by the high way him

בַּֽמְסִלָּ֣ה

of your water

then my livestock

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

[doing] anything

’e·‘ĕ·ḇō·rāh.

אֶֽעֱבֹֽרָה׃

do go through

And came out

with a strong

וַיְמָאֵ֣ן ׀

through his border

and turned away

and journeyed

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

shall be gathered

I have given

you rebelled against

at the waters

and bring them up

of his garments

wə·hil·baš·tām

וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֖ם

wə·’a·hă·rōn

shall be gathered

[unto his people] and shall die

and they went up

way·ya·‘ă·lū

וַֽיַּעֲלוּ֙

in the sight

the congregation

And stripped

way·yap̄·šêṭ

וַיַּפְשֵׁט֩

of his garments

וַיַּלְבֵּ֤שׁ

of the mount

and came down

wə·’el·‘ā·zār

וְאֶלְעָזָ֖ר

the congregation

and they mourned

וַיִּבְכּ֤וּ

[even] the house

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
