Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

מֹרֶךְ m. pr. softness; figuratively fear, timidity, Leviticus 26:36 (LXX. δειλία); from the root רָכַךְ, whence the segolate form מֹרֶךְ = מְרֹךְ in the same manner as תֶּבֶל, מֶכֶס from the roots בָּלַל, אֹרֶן ;בָּסַס, תֹּרֶן from רָנַן; f. תָהֳלָה from הָלַל. The root which is found in the Rabbinic, נתמרך to be soft, is secondary and taken from this noun.
