קְוֻצּוֹת f. plur. locks of hair, so called from their cut off, Song of Solomon 5:2, 12. (Syr. ܩܽܘ̈ܨܳܬܐܳ id. Arab. being قُصَّةُ fore locks. Compare Schultens, Opp. Min., p. 246.) Root קָוַץ.
