 [מוֺרָשׁ] noun [masculine] a possession; — construct מוֺרַשׁקִמֹּד Isaiah 14:23 a possession for bitterns; וְיָ˜רְשׁוּ בֵּיתיַעֲקֹב אֵת מוֺרָשֵׁיהֶם Obadiah 17 and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions (but read perhaps מורישׁיהם their dispossessors, ᵐ5ᵑ9 ᵑ7 and others); figurative מוֺרָשֵׁי לְבָבִי Job 17:11, i.e. my cherished thoughts ("" זִמּוֺתַי), but figurative is questionable, see Di, who derives from ארשׁ desire, so Buhl.

מוֹרָשׁ m. (from the root יָרַשׁ) with Kametz impure, possession, Obadiah 1:17. Isaiah 14:23; Job 17:11, מוֹרָשֵׁי לְבָבִי “the possessions of my heart,” i.e. my delights, my dearest counsels which I cherish as it were in my inmost breast.
