Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sedom! Listen to the law of our God, you people of `Amorah!

Many peoples shall go and say, "Come, let's go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Ya`akov; And he will teach us of his ways, And we will walk in his paths. For out of Tziyon the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Yerushalayim.

but the LORD of Hosts is exalted in justice, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.

thus says the Lord GOD, "It shall not stand, neither shall it happen."

Ask a sign of the LORD your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.

He said, "Listen now, house of David: Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that you will weary my God also?

Take counsel together, and it shall be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

When they shall tell you, "Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter:" shouldn't a people consult with their God? on behalf of the living [should they consult] with the dead?

They shall pass through it, sore distressed and hungry; and it shall happen that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse by their king and by their God, and turn their faces upward:

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Shalom.

A remnant shall return, [even] the remnant of Ya`akov, to the mighty God.

Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD, the LORD, is my strength and song; and he has become my yeshu`ah."

Bavel, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Kasdim' pride, shall be as when God overthrew Sedom and `Amorah.

You said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; and I will sit on the mountain of congregation, in the uttermost parts of the north;

Yet there shall be left therein gleanings, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost branches of a fruitful tree, says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el.

For you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength; therefore you plant pleasant plants, and set it with strange slips.

You my threshing, and the grain of my floor! that which I have heard from the LORD of hosts, the God of Yisra'el, have I declared to you.

and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be few; for the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, has spoken it.

Therefore glorify the LORD in the east, even the name of the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, in the isles of the sea!

The LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things, [even] counsels of old, in faithfulness [and] truth.
