And I find more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, [and] whose hands are bands: whoever pleases God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

Look, this only I have found: that God made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.

I [counsel you], Keep the king's command, and that in regard of the oath of God.

Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and prolong his [days], yet surely I know that it shall be well with those that fear God, that fear before him:

but it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong [his] days, [which are] as a shadow; because he does not fear before God.

Then I commended mirth, because man has no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be joyful: for that shall abide with him in his labor [all] the days of his life which God has given him under the sun.

then I saw all the work of God, that man can't find out the work that is done under the sun: because however much man labors to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yes moreover, though a wise man thinks to know it, yet he shall not be able to find it.

For all this I took to heart, even to explore all this: that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God; whether it is love or hatred, man does not know it; all is before them.

Go your way, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.

As you don't know what the way of the wind is, [nor] how the bones [grow] in the womb of her that is pregnant; even so you don't know the work of God who does all.

Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know, that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

[This is] the end of the matter; all has been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is [applicable to] all man.

For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

Hear the word of Yahweh, you rulers of Sodom; give ear to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah.

And many peoples shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.

but Yahweh of hosts is exalted in justice, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.

Ask a sign of Yahweh your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.

And he said, Hear now, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that you will weary my God also?

Take counsel together, and it shall be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
