Let me go to the greatAnd let me speak to them,For they know the way of YahwehAnd the legal judgment of their God."But they too, altogether, have broken the yokeAnd torn apart the bonds.

Therefore, thus says Yahweh, the God of hosts,"Because you have spoken this word,Behold, I am making My words in your mouth fireAnd this people wood, and it will devour them.

It shall come about when they say, ‘Why has Yahweh our God done all these things to us?' then you shall say to them, ‘As you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.'

They do not say in their heart,"Let us now fear Yahweh our God,Who gives rain in its season,Both the early rain and the late rain,Who keeps for usThe appointed weeks of the harvest."

Thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, "Make your ways and your deeds good, and I will let you dwell in this place.

Thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, "Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat flesh.

But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Listen to My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you will walk in the entire way which I command you, that it may be well with you.'

You shall say to them, ‘This is the nation that did not listen to the voice of Yahweh their God or receive discipline; truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.

Why are we sitting still?Gather yourselves, and let us go into the fortified citiesAnd let us be silent thereBecause Yahweh our God has silenced usAnd given us poisoned water to drink,For we have sinned against Yahweh.

therefore thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, "behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink.

But Yahweh is the true God;He is the living God and the everlasting King.At His wrath the earth quakes,And the nations cannot endure His indignation.

and say to them, ‘Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "Cursed is the man who does not hear the words of this covenant

which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, ‘Listen to My voice, and do according to all which I command you; so you shall be My people, and I will be your God,'

"Therefore you are to say this word to them, ‘Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "Every jug is to be filled with wine."' And they will say to you, ‘Do we not very well know that every jug is to be filled with wine?'

Give glory to Yahweh your God,Before He brings darknessAnd before your feet stumbleOn the dusky mountains;And while you are hoping for light,He makes it into the shadow of deathAnd turns it into dense gloom.

Are there any among the idols of the nations who give rain?Or can the heavens give showers?Is it not You, O Yahweh our God?Therefore we hope in You,For You are the one who has done all these things.

Your words were found, and I ate them,And Your words became for me joy and gladness in my heart,For I have been called by Your name,O Yahweh God of hosts.

For thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel: "Behold, I am going to cause to cease from this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride.

"Now when you tell this people all these words, they will say to you, ‘For what reason has Yahweh declared all this great calamity against us? And what is our iniquity, or what is our sin which we have committed against Yahweh our God?'

and say, ‘Hear the word of Yahweh, O kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, "Behold, I am about to bring a calamity upon this place, at which the ears of everyone that hears of it will tingle.
