Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.

The sun shall no more be your light by day; neither shall the moon give light to you for brightness: but Yahweh will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.

to proclaim the year of Yahweh's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

But you shall be named the priests of Yahweh; men shall call you the ministers of our God: you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory you shall boast yourselves.

I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

You shall also be a crown of beauty in the hand of Yahweh, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

For as a young man takes possession of a virgin, so shall your sons take possession of you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

For from of old men haven't heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen a God besides you, who works for him that waits for him.

so that he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from my eyes.

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says Yahweh: shall I that cause to bring forth shut [the womb]? says your God.

Have you not procured this to yourself, in that you have forsaken Yahweh your God, when he led you by the way?

Your own wickedness shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove you: know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing, that you have forsaken Yahweh your God, and that my fear is not in you, says the Lord, Yahweh of hosts.

Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against Yahweh your God, and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and you haven't obeyed my voice, says Yahweh.

A voice is heard on the bare heights, the weeping [and] the supplications of the sons of Israel; because they have perverted their way, they have forgotten Yahweh their God.

Return, you backsliding sons, I will heal your backslidings. Look, we have come to you; for you are Yahweh our God.

Truly, delusion comes from the hills, the tumult on the mountains: [but] truly in Yahweh our God is the salvation of Israel.

Let us lie down in our shame, and let our confusion cover us; for we have sinned against Yahweh our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day; and we haven't obeyed the voice of Yahweh our God.

Then I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish; for they don't know the way of Yahweh, nor the law of their God:

I will get myself to the great men, and will speak to them; for they know the way of Yahweh, and the law of their God. But these with one accord have broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of hosts, Because you speak this word, look, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
