For thus says the Lord , who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he formed it to be inhabited!): I am the Lord , and there is no other.

Assemble yourselves and come together, draw near, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge— those who carry about their wooden idols, and keep on praying to a god that cannot save.

Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the Lord ? There is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is no one besides me.

Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

Those who lavish gold from the purse, and weigh out silver in the scales— they hire a goldsmith, who makes it into a god; then they fall down and worship!

remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like me,

Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and who came forth from the loins of Judah; who swear by the name of the Lord , and invoke the God of Israel, but not in truth or right.

For they call themselves after the holy city, and lean on the God of Israel; the Lord of hosts is his name.

Draw near to me, hear this! From the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it came to be I have been there. And now the Lord God has sent me and his spirit.

Thus says the Lord , your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, who teaches you for your own good, who leads you in the way you should go.

But I said, "I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely my cause is with the Lord , and my reward with my God."

And now the Lord says, who formed me in the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him, and that Israel might be gathered to him, for I am honored in the sight of the Lord , and my God has become my strength—

Thus says the Lord God : I will soon lift up my hand to the nations, and raise my signal to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.

The Lord God has given me the tongue of a teacher, that I may know how to sustain the weary with a word. Morning by morning he wakens— wakens my ear to listen as those who are taught.

The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, I did not turn backward.

The Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame;

It is the Lord God who helps me; who will declare me guilty? All of them will wear out like a garment; the moth will eat them up.

Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the voice of his servant, who walks in darkness and has no light, yet trusts in the name of the Lord and relies upon his God?

For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord of hosts is his name.

Your children have fainted, they lie at the head of every street like an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of the Lord , the rebuke of your God.
