To whom then will you liken God, or what likeness compare with him?

Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, "My way is hidden from the Lord , and my right is disregarded by my God"?

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, "Do not fear, I will help you."

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

Thus says God, the Lord , who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people upon it and spirit to those who walk in it:

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you.

You are my witnesses, says the Lord , and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.

I declared and saved and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you; and you are my witnesses, says the Lord .

I am God, and also henceforth I am He; there is no one who can deliver from my hand; I work and who can hinder it?

Thus says the Lord , the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.

Do not fear, or be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? You are my witnesses! Is there any god besides me? There is no other rock; I know not one.

Who would fashion a god or cast an image that can do no good?

Then it can be used as fuel. Part of it he takes and warms himself; he kindles a fire and bakes bread. Then he makes a god and worships it, makes it a carved image and bows down before it.

The rest of it he makes into a god, his idol, bows down to it and worships it; he prays to it and says, "Save me, for you are my god!"

I will give you the treasures of darkness and riches hidden in secret places, so that you may know that it is I, the Lord , the God of Israel, who call you by your name.

I am the Lord , and there is no other; besides me there is no god. I arm you, though you do not know me,

Thus says the Lord : The wealth of Egypt and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, tall of stature, shall come over to you and be yours, they shall follow you; they shall come over in chains and bow down to you. They will make supplication to you, saying, "God is with you alone, and there is no other; there is no god besides him."

Truly, you are a God who hides himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.
