"This is what the Lord , the God of Israel, says: ‘I sent the people of Judah out of their country to live in the country of Babylon. I think of those people as good, like these good figs.

I will make them want to know me, that I am the Lord . They will be my people, and I will be their God, because they will return to me with their whole hearts.

The Lord , the God of Israel, said this to me: "My anger is like the wine in a cup. Take it from my hand and make all the nations, to whom I am sending you, drink all of my anger from this cup.

"Then say to them, ‘This is what the Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: Drink this cup of my anger. Get drunk from it and vomit. Fall down and don't get up because of the war I am sending among you!'

Now change your lives and start doing good and obey the Lord your God. Then he will change his mind and not bring on you the disaster he has told you about.

Then the officers and all the people said to the priests and the prophets, "Jeremiah must not be killed. What he told us comes from the Lord our God."

Tell them to give this message to their masters: ‘The Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: "Tell your masters:

This is what the Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says about the items left in the Temple of the Lord and in the king's palace and in Jerusalem:

"The Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: ‘I have broken the yoke the king of Babylon has put on Judah.

The Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: I will put a yoke of iron on the necks of all these nations to make them serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they will be slaves to him. I will even give Nebuchadnezzar control over the wild animals.'"

This is what the Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says to all those people I sent away from Jerusalem as captives to Babylon:

The Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: "Don't let the prophets among you and the people who do magic fool you. Don't listen to their dreams.

The Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says this about Ahab son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah son of Maaseiah: "These two men have been prophesying lies to you, saying that their message is from me. But soon I will hand over those two prophets to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will kill them in front of you.

The Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: "Shemaiah, you sent letters in your name to all the people in Jerusalem, to the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah, and to all the priests.

The Lord , the God of Israel, said: "Jeremiah, write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.

They will serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will send to them.

"So you will be my people, and I will be your God."

The Lord says, "At that time I will be God of all Israel's family groups, and they will be my people."

There will be a time when watchmen in the mountains of Ephraim shout this message: ‘Come, let's go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord our God!'"

"I have heard Israel moaning: ‘ Lord , you punished me, and I have learned my lesson. I was like a calf that had never been trained. Take me back so that I may come back. You truly are the Lord my God.
