"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which on the outside look beautiful, but inside they are full of the bones of the dead and of all kinds of filth.

So you also on the outside look righteous to others, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet.

all this is but the beginning of the birth pangs.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

"But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

But understand this: if the owner of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.

But if that wicked slave says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,'

but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps.

But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look! Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.'

But the wise replied, ‘No! there will not be enough for you and for us; you had better go to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.'

But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I do not know you.'

But the one who had received the one talent went off and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.

But his master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy slave! You knew, did you, that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter?

For to all those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance; but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away.

And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

But they said, "Not during the festival, or there may be a riot among the people."

But when the disciples saw it, they were angry and said, "Why this waste?
