Did not one God make her? Both flesh and spirit are his. And what does the one God desire? Godly offspring. So look to yourselves, and do not let anyone be faithless to the wife of his youth.

For I hate divorce, says the Lord , the God of Israel, and covering one's garment with violence, says the Lord of hosts. So take heed to yourselves and do not be faithless.

You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you say, "How have we wearied him?" By saying, "All who do evil are good in the sight of the Lord , and he delights in them." Or by asking, "Where is the God of justice?"

Will anyone rob God? Yet you are robbing me! But you say, "How are we robbing you?" In your tithes and offerings!

You have said, "It is vain to serve God. What do we profit by keeping his command or by going about as mourners before the Lord of hosts?

Now we count the arrogant happy; evildoers not only prosper, but when they put God to the test they escape."

Then once more you shall see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.

"Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel," which means, "God is with us."

Do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our ancestor'; for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children to Abraham.

And when Jesus had been baptized, just as he came up from the water, suddenly the heavens were opened to him and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.

The tempter came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread."

But he answered, "It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

saying to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you,' and ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.'"

Jesus said to him, "Again it is written, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"

Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! for it is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.'"

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

But I say to you, Do not swear at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God,

"No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
