But you say, "If a man says to his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban"--' (that is, a gift to God),

making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do."

But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

Matthew 16:28-17:13; Luke 9:27-36; 2 Peter 1:16-18">[xr] And He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power."

And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire--

But from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female.' Genesis 1:27; Genesis 5:2">[fn]

Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
