And I, where shall I carry my shame? and as for you, you will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray you, speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.

Now therefore don't let my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead; for Amnon only is dead.

Now therefore seeing that I have come to speak this word to my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid: and your slave said, I will now speak to the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his slave.

And the king said to Joab, Look now, I have done this thing: go therefore, bring the young man Absalom back.

And when he cut the hair of his head (now it was at every year's end that he cut it; because it was heavy on him, therefore he cut it); he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels, after the king's weight.

Therefore he said to his slaves, See, Joab's field is near mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom's slaves set the field on fire.

And Absalom answered Joab, Look, I sent to you, saying, Come here, that I may send you to the king, to say, Why have I come from Geshur? it were better for me to be there still. Now therefore let me see the king's face; and if there is iniquity in me, let him kill me.

Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they abode there.

And don't you have there with you Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that whatever thing you shall hear out of the king's house, you shall tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.

Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Don't lodge this night at the fords of the wilderness, but by all means pass over; or else the king will be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.

But the people said, You shall not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but you are worth ten thousand of us; therefore now it is better that you are ready to succor us out of the city.

Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably to your slaves; for I swear by Yahweh, if you don't go forth, there will not tarry a man with you this night: and that will be worse to you than all the evil that has befallen you from your youth until now.

And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why don't you speak a word of bringing the king back?

For your slave knows that I have sinned: therefore, look, I have come this day the first of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

And he has slandered your slave to my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in your eyes.

For all my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king; yet you set your slave among those that ate at your own table. What right therefore have I yet that I should cry anymore to the king?

Therefore Yahweh has recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to my cleanness in his eyesight.

Therefore I will give thanks to you, O Yahweh, among the nations, And will sing praises to your name.

And he said, Be it far from me, O Yahweh, that I should do this: [shall I drink] the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.

Was he not most honorable of the thirty? therefore he was made their captain: nevertheless he didn't attain to the three.
