But Peter followed a long way behind as they went to the house of the head religious leader. He sat with the helpers and got warm by the fire.

The religious leaders and all the court were looking for something against Jesus. They wanted to find something so they could kill Him. But they could find nothing.

Many came and told false things about Him, but their words did not agree.

They gave Him wine with something in it to take away the pain, but He would not drink it.

The head religious leaders and the teachers of the Law made fun of Him also. They said to each other, "He saved others but He cannot save Himself.

But when they looked, they saw the very large stone had been rolled away.

But they did not believe her when she said she had seen Him alive.

He who puts his trust in Me and is baptized will be saved from the punishment of sin. But he who does not put his trust in Me is guilty and will be punished forever.

When he came out, he could not talk to them. They knew he had seen something special from God while he was in the house of God. He tried to talk to them with his hands but could say nothing.

"See, your cousin Elizabeth, as old as she is, is going to give birth to a child. She was not able to have children before, but now she is in her sixth month.
