The followers were surprised and wondered about His words. But Jesus said to them again, "Children! How hard it is for those who put their trust in riches to get into the holy nation of God!

Jesus looked at them and said, "This cannot be done by men but God can do anything."

They will make fun of Him and will beat Him. They will spit on Him and will kill Him. But three days later He will be raised from the dead."

But to sit on My right side or on My left side is not for Me to give. It will be given to those for whom it has been made ready."

Many people spoke sharp words to the blind man telling him not to call out like that. But he spoke all the more. He said, "Son of David, take pity on me."

Along the road He saw a fig tree with leaves on it. He went over to see if it had any fruit. He saw nothing but leaves. It was not the right time for figs.

The teachers of the Law and the religious leaders of the Jews heard it. They tried to find some way to put Jesus to death. But they were afraid of Him because all the people were surprised and wondered about His teaching.

For sure, I tell you, a person may say to this mountain, ‘Move from here into the sea.' And if he does not doubt, but believes that what he says will be done, it will happen.

But how can we say, ‘From men'?" They were afraid of the people because everyone believed that John was one who spoke for God.

The leaders wanted to take Him but they were afraid of the people. They knew He had told the picture-story against them. They left Him and went away.

"Teacher, Moses gave us a Law. It said, ‘If a man's brother dies and leaves his wife behind, but no children, then his brother should marry his wife and raise children for his brother.'

Then the teacher of the Law said, "Teacher, You have told the truth. There is one God. There is no other God but Him.

When you hear of wars and much talk about wars, do not be surprised. These things have to happen. But the end is not yet.

"When you are put into their hands, do not be afraid of what you are to say or how you are to say it. Whatever is given to you to say at that time, say it. It will not be you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit.

You will be hated by all people because of Me. But he who stays true to the end will be saved.

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will not pass away.

But no one knows the day or the hour. No! Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.
