Jesus said to them, "Come, eat breakfast!" But none of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?" because they knew that it was the Lord.

Truly, truly I say to you, when you were young, you tied your clothes around yourself and walked wherever you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will tie you up and carry you where you do not want to go.

So when he saw this one, Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, but what about this one?"

So this saying went out to the brothers that that disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?"

And while he was with them, he commanded them, "Do not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for what was promised by the Father, which you heard about from me.

For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."

But he said to them, "It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has set by his own authority.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest part of the earth."

But others jeered and said, "They are full of sweet new wine!"

But Peter, standing with the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them, "Judean men, and all those who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and pay attention to my words!

But this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:

For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand,

But Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not possess, but what I have, this I give to you—in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, walk!"

But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and demanded that a man—a murderer—be granted to you.

But the things which God foretold through the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he has fulfilled in this way.

But many of those who listened to the message believed, and the number of the men was approximately five thousand.

But after they had ordered them to go outside the Sanhedrin, they began to confer with one another,

But in order that it may not spread much further among the people, let us warn them to speak no more in this name to anyone at all."

But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than God, you decide!

Now the group of those who believed were one heart and soul, and no one said anything of what belonged to him was his own, but all things were theirs in common.
