I am become a brother to jackals, and a companion to ostriches.

Mine eye is weakened because of anger; and I am troubled by all my enemies.

Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him, and those that trouble me rejoice when I am shaken.

But I am a worm, and not a man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

I am poured out like water and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is melted like wax, and my bowels are wasted in the midst of me.

Turn thou unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am the only son and destitute.

The LORD is my helper and my protector; my heart trusted in him, and I am happy; I will praise him with glorious song.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in distress; mine eye is troubled with wrath, yea, my soul and my body.
