At first His disciples did not understand these things, but after Jesus was glorified they remembered what had been done to Him, and they realized that these very things had also been written about Him.

Meanwhile, many people continued to testify that they had been with Jesus when He called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead.

They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him, "Sir, we want to see Jesus."

"He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they cannot see with their eyes, and understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them."

I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name, the name You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one.

But now I am coming to You, and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled within them.

I have given them Your word and the world has hated them; for they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

I in them and You in Me-that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.

Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me.

So Judas brought a band of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees. They arrived at the garden carrying lanterns, torches, and weapons.

"Jesus of Nazareth," they answered. Jesus said, "I am He." And Judas, His betrayer, was standing there with them.

When Jesus said, "I am He," they drew back and fell to the ground.

Because it was cold, the servants and officers were standing around a charcoal fire they had made to keep warm. And Peter was also standing with them, warming himself.
