And I was alive apart from the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived,

Did then that which is good become death to me? God forbid. But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, by working death to me through that which is good; -that through the commandment sin might become exceeding sinful.

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

For that which I do, I don't know: for what I do not want, that do I do; but what I hate, that I do.

But if what I do not want, that I do, I consent to the law that it is good.

So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing: for to want is present with me, but to do that which is good [is] not.

For the good which I want, I do not: but the evil which I do not want, that I do.

But if I do what I do not want, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and capturing me in the law of sin which is in my members.

But thanks to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then I of myself with the mind, indeed, serve as a slave to the law of God; but with the flesh, to the law of sin.

that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who don't walk after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For those that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but those that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of his.

And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you.

for if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live.

For you didn't receive the spirit of slavery again to fear; but you received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hope
