And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan inside ourselves, waiting for [our] adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.

For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopes for that which he sees?

But if we hope for that which we don't see, [then] we wait for it with patience.

And in like manner the Spirit also helps our infirmity: for we don't know how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself makes intercession for [us] with groanings which can't be uttered;

He that didn't spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?

But [it is] not as though the word of God has come to nothing. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel:

neither, because they are Abraham's seed, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall your seed be called.

That is, it is not the children of the flesh that are children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed.

And not only so; but Rebecca also having conceived by one, [even] by our father Isaac-

not of works, but of him that calls, it was said to her, The elder will serve as a slave to the younger.

According to as it is written, Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.

So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that has mercy.

[even] us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles?

but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, did not arrive at [that] law.

Why? Because [they sought it] not by faith, but as it were by works. They stumbled at the stone of stumbling;

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

But the righteousness which is of faith says thus, Don't say in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down:)

But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach:

But they did not all listen to the glad tidings. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report?

But I say, Is it the case that they have not heard? On the contrary, Their sound went out into all the earth, And their words to the ends of the world.
