For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet—

they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.

For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him.

For kingship belongs to the Lord , and he rules over the nations.

He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

For your name's sake, O Lord , pardon my guilt, for it is great.

The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.

My eyes are ever toward the Lord , for he will pluck my feet out of the net.

Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.

May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.
