My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of the LORD. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Yes, the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, Near your altars, LORD of Hosts, My King, and my God.

For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

For the LORD God is a sun and a shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.

For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; Abundant in lovingkindness to all those who call on you.

In the day of my trouble I will call on you, For you will answer me.

For you are great, and do wondrous things. You are God alone.

For your lovingkindness is great toward me. You have delivered my soul from the lowest She'ol.

God, the proud have risen up against me. A company of violent men have sought after my soul, And they don't hold regard for you before them.

For my soul is full of troubles. My life draws near to She'ol.

For who in the skies can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like the LORD,

For you are the glory of their strength. In your favor, our horn will be exalted.

For our shield belongs to the LORD; Our king to the Holy One of Yisra'el.
