When someone is tempted, he should not say, "I am being tempted by God," because God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

And I will make every effort to see that you will always remember these things after I am gone.

I am writing to you, fathers,1 John 1:1;">[xr] because you have known the one whohas existed from the beginning. I am writing to you, young people, because you have overcome the evil one.

If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray that Godhe">[fn] would give him life. This applies to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death.
