For the sake of Your servant David, do not reject Your anointed one.

For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His home:

"This is My resting place forever and ever; here I will dwell, for I have desired this home.

There I will make a horn grow for David; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed one.

It is like the dew of Hermon falling on the mountains of Zion. For there the LORD has bestowed the blessing of life forevermore.

Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praises to His name, for it is lovely.

For the LORD has chosen Jacob as His own, Israel as His treasured possession.

For I know that the LORD is great; our Lord is above all gods.

For the LORD will vindicate His people and will have compassion on His servants.

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. His loving devotion endures forever.

for there our captors requested a song; our tormentors demanded songs of joy: "Sing us a song of Zion."

I will bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your loving devotion and Your faithfulness; You have exalted Your name and Your word above all else.

They will sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

even the darkness is not dark to You, but the night shines like the day, for darkness is as light to You.

For You formed my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well.

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all my days were written in Your book and ordained for me before one of them came to be.
