A horse is a false hope for salvation;Nor does it provide escape to anyone by its great strength.

Behold, the eye of Yahweh is on those who fear Him,On those who wait for His lovingkindness,

Our soul is patient for Yahweh;He is our help and our shield.

For our heart is glad in Him,Because we trust in His holy name.

Let Your lovingkindness, O Yahweh, be upon us,As we wait for You.

Oh, fear Yahweh, you His saints;For there is no want to those who fear Him.

The eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteousAnd His ears are open to their cry for help.

Take hold of shield and large shieldAnd rise up for my help.

For without cause they hid their net for me;Without cause they dug a pit for my soul.

All my bones will say, "Yahweh, who is like You,Who delivers the afflicted from him who is too strong for him,And the afflicted and the needy from him who robs him?"

They repay me evil for good,It is bereavement to my soul.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth;I humbled my soul with fasting,And my prayer kept returning to my bosom.

I walked about as though it were my friend or brother;I bowed down mourning, as one who sorrows for a mother.

For they do not speak peace,But they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.

Let them shout for joy and be glad, who delight in my righteousness;And let them say continually, "Yahweh be magnified,Who delights in the peace of His slave."

For it flatters him in his eyesFor one to discover his iniquity and hate it.

For with You is the fountain of life;In Your light we see light.

For they will wither quickly like the grassAnd fade like the green herb.

Be still in Yahweh and wait patiently for Him;Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,Because of the man who carries out schemes of wickedness.

For evildoers will be cut off,But those who hope for Yahweh, they will inherit the land.
