But, let's cut to the chase here. Y'all are asking me about life after death and you don't even believe in that. Have you not read in Moses's book, in the section about the burning bush, how God said to him, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He didn't say he had been the God of those great guys, but that he is the God of them.

Jesus spoke above the calamity and said, "Am I some vicious outlaw that you come with swords and clubs to arrest me? Why didn't you just take me while I taught in church?

Jesus said, "I AM . . . and you all should know it. Soon, you will see me sitting at the right hand of God himself and riding on the clouds of heaven."

Pilate, still trying to work out a deal, asked, "Then what am I supposed to do with the one who y'all call the Boss of the Jews?"

On another occasion, the twelve cowboys came to Jesus as he prayed alone. When they walked up, he asked them, "Who does everyone think I am?"

"What about y'all?" he asked them. "Who do you think I am?"Pete said, "You are God's Top Hand. The one who will gather us and save us from the coming brush fire."

Jesus said, "Good grief! Where is all of y'alls faith? How long am I gonna have to stick around and hold your hands? I don't know how much more I can tolerate. Bring that boy over here."

Go now and ride, but understand, I am sending y'all out like sheep among the wolves.

but if I am working for the Boss in heaven, then his outfit has arrived on earth.

Jesus saw her and felt sorry for her condition. He told her to come to him and said, "My dear, I am setting you free."

You best realize that I am asking for everything when you ride for me, not just your weekends or a little of your wages. I require everything. Anything less than that and you'll never make it.

Jesus replied, "Don't be fooled by imitations. Many people will come bearing what appears to be my name. They will say, 'I am the Top Hand who will save you' and also things like, 'Now is the time that God foretold!' But don't believe a word of it.

Then Jesus said to the preachers, church marshals, and religious leaders, "Have you come to arrest an outlaw? Did you bring your swords and clubs because I am dangerous?

They all looked around at each other and then asked, "So you're saying that you are the Son of God?"Jesus said, "You said it right. I AM."

John flat out told them, "I am not the Top Hand. I cannot save you."

Jesus again smiled and said, "You believe in who I am because I said I saw you sittin' underneath that tree. But you will see many greater things than that when you ride for me. I'm tellin' you straight. You are going to see right into heaven and watch as angels come down and talk to me and go back up. I am the bridge between heaven and earth."

Jesus stood up and said, "I AM God's Top Hand."
