Yet I am always with you;you hold my right hand.

Protect my life, for I am faithful.You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you.

I am counted among those going down to the Pit.I am like a man without strength,

abandoned among the dead.I am like the slain lying in the grave,whom you no longer remember,and who are cut off from your care.

You have distanced my friends from me;you have made me repulsive to them.I am shut in and cannot go out.

From my youth,I have been suffering and near death.I suffer your horrors; I am desperate.

When I am filled with cares,your comfort brings me joy.

I am like an eagle owl,like a little owl among the ruins.

I stay awake;I am like a solitary bird on a roof.

For I am suffering and needy;my heart is wounded within me.

I fade away like a lengthening shadow;I am shaken off like a locust.

I believed, even when I said,“I am severely oppressed.”

Lord, I am indeed your servant;I am your servant, the son of your female servant.You have loosened my bonds.

I am a resident alien on earth;do not hide your commands from me.

I am continually overcomewith longing for your judgments.
