I am passing like a shadow when it is stretched out;I am shaken off like the locust.

I believed when I said,"I am greatly afflicted."

O Yahweh, surely I am Your slave,I am Your slave, the son of Your maidservant,You have loosed my bonds.

I am a sojourner in the earth;Do not hide Your commandments from me.

I am a companion of all those who fear You,And of those who keep Your precepts.

For I am like a wineskin in the smoke,But I do not forget Your statutes.

I am Yours, save me;For I have sought Your precepts.

I am exceedingly afflicted;O Yahweh, revive me according to Your word.

My flesh quakes for dread of You,And I am afraid of Your judgments.

I am Your slave; give me understanding,That I may know Your testimonies.

I am small and despised,Yet I do not forget Your precepts.

I am for peace, but when I speak,They are for war.

I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;Wonderful are Your works,And my soul knows it very well.

If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.When I awake, I am still with You.

Let the wicked fall into their own nets,As for myself—meanwhile, I am passing by.

Give heed to my cry of lamentation,For I am brought very low;Deliver me from my persecutors,For they are too strong for me.

And in Your lovingkindness, cut off my enemiesAnd cause all those who assail my soul to perish,For I am Your slave.

Counsel is mine and sound wisdom;I am understanding, might is mine.

Who can say, "I have kept my heart pure,I am clean from my sin"?

So is the man who deceives his neighbor,And says, "Am I not joking?"
