Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”

That is why I speak to them in parables, because looking they do not see,

For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see the things you see but didn’t see them, to hear the things you hear but didn’t hear them.

Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

“See to it that you don’t despise one of these little ones,

Then Peter responded to him, “See, we have left everything and followed you. So what will there be for us?”

“See, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death.

Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes. Immediately they could see, and they followed him.

Tell Daughter Zion,“See, your King is coming to you,gentle, and mounted on a donkey,and on a colt,the foal of a donkey.”

Again, he sent out other servants and said, ‘Tell those who are invited: See, I’ve prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

When the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed for a wedding.

See, your house is left to you desolate.

For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say,’ Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord’!”

He replied to them, “Do you see all these things? Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left here on another that will not be thrown down.”

You are going to hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, because these things must take place, but the end is not yet.

“So when you see the abomination of desolation,

“If anyone tells you then, ‘See, here is the Messiah!’

So if they tell you, ‘See, he’s in the wilderness!’ don’t go out; or, ‘See, he’s in the storerooms!’ do not believe it.

In the same way, when you see all these things, recognize

The man who had received five talents approached, presented five more talents, and said, ‘Master, you gave me five talents. See, I’ve earned five more talents.’
