He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he contended with God.

even Jehovah, the God of Hosts. Jehovah is His memorial.

He is a merchant; the scales of deceit are in his hand; he loves to oppress.

Ephraim has provoked Me to anger most bitterly. And He shall leave his blood to him, and his Lord shall turn his reproach to him.

The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is hidden.

Though he is fruitful among brothers, an east wind shall come. The wind of Jehovah shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall be ashamed, and his fountain shall be dried up. He shall plunder the treasure of all desirable vessels.

I will be as the dew to Israel; he shall blossom as the lily and cast out his roots like Lebanon.

His branches shall go out, and his beauty shall be like the olive tree, and his scent as Lebanon to him.

They who live under his shadow shall return; they shall live like the grain, and blossom like the vine; their memorial shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

They shall run as mighty ones; they shall go up the wall as men of war. And they each go on his way, and they do not change their paths.

And each does not press his brother; they each go in his paths. And if they fall behind their weapon, they shall not be cut off.

And Jehovah shall give His voice before His army, for His camp is very great. For he who does His Word is strong. For the day of Jehovah is very great and terrifying, and who can endure it?

Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, gather the elders, gather the children, and those who suck the breasts. Let the bridegroom go out of his room, and the bride out of her room.

Then Jehovah will be jealous for His land and have pity on His people.

Yea, Jehovah will answer and say to His people, Behold, I will send you grain, and wine, and oil, and you shall be satisfied with it. And I will no more make you a curse among the nations.

But I will remove the northern army far from you, and I will drive him into a dry and desolated land with his face toward the eastern sea, and his rear toward the western sea. Andhis stench shall come up, and his ill odorshall come up, because he was doing great things.

And Jehovah roars from Zion, and He gives His voice from Jerusalem. And the heavens and the earth quake. But Jehovah is a refuge for His people and a fortress to the sons of Israel.

And he said: Jehovah will roar from Zion and utter His voice from Jerusalem. And the pastures of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn back from it, for he pursued his brother with the sword, and corrupted his compassions, and his anger tore continually, and he kept it, his wrath, forever.

And their king shall go into captivity, he and his rulers together, says Jehovah.
