so that all may know from the rising of the sun to its settingthat there is no one but me.I am the Lord, and there is no other.

I form light and create darkness,I make success and create disaster;I am the Lord, who does all these things.

For this is what the Lord says—the Creator of the heavens,the God who formed the earth and made it,the one who established it(he did not create it to be a wasteland,but formed it to be inhabited)—he says, “I am the Lord,and there is no other.

I have not spoken in secret,somewhere in a land of darkness.I did not say to the descendants of Jacob:Seek me in a wasteland.I am the Lord, who speaks righteously,who declares what is right.

Turn to me and be saved,all the ends of the earth.For I am God,and there is no other.

Remember what happened long ago,for I am God, and there is no other;I am God, and no one is like me.

I am bringing my justice near;it is not far away,and my salvation will not delay.I will put salvation in Zion,my splendor in Israel.

“So now hear this, lover of luxury,who sits securely,who says to herself,‘I am, and there is no one else.I will never be a widowor know the loss of children.’

You were secure in your wickedness;you said, ‘No one sees me.’Your wisdom and knowledgeled you astray.You said to yourself,‘I am, and there is no one else.’

“Listen to me, Jacob,and Israel, the one called by me:I am he; I am the first,I am also the last.

And now, says the Lord,who formed me from the womb to be his servant,to bring Jacob back to himso that Israel might be gathered to him;for I am honored in the sight of the Lord,and my God is my strength—

Kings will be your guardiansand their queens your nursing mothers.They will bow down to youwith their faces to the groundand lick the dust at your feet.Then you will know that I am the Lord;those who put their hope in mewill not be put to shame.

I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh,and they will be drunk with their own bloodas with sweet wine.Then all people will knowthat I, the Lord, am your Savior,and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

I—I am the one who comforts you.Who are you that you should fear humans who die,or a son of man who is given up like grass?

For I am the Lord your Godwho stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—his name is the Lord of Armies.

Therefore my people will know my name;therefore they will know on that daythat I am he who says:Here I am.”

No foreigner who has joined himself to the Lordshould say,“The Lord will exclude me from his people,”and the eunuch should not say,“Look, I am a dried-up tree.”

At that time, when you call, the Lord will answer;when you cry out, he will say, ‘Here I am.’If you get rid of the yoke among you,the finger-pointing and malicious speaking,

You will nurse on the milk of nations,and nurse at the breast of kings;you will know that I, the Lord, am your Saviorand Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

The least will become a thousand,the smallest a mighty nation.I am the Lord;I will accomplish it quickly in its time.
