Water flowed over my head; then I said, I am cast far off.

And he said to me, Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious people who have risen up against me; they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

And they to whom I am sending you are impudent and stubborn children; and you shall say to them, Thus says the LORD God of hosts.

Therefore thus says the LORD God: Behold I, even I, am against you, and will execute judgments in your midst in the sight of the nations.

And say, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD God; Thus says the LORD God to the mountains and to the hills, to the valleys and to the brooks: Behold, I am bringing a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil to them.

Then they shall know that I am the LORD, when their slain shall be among their idols round about their altars upon every high hill and upon all the tops of the mountains and under every green tree and under every thick terebinth, the place where they did offer incense to all their idols.

So I will stretch out my hand against them and will make the land desolate and waste, more than the wilderness of Diblath, throughout all their habitations; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

And my eye shall not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will recompense you according to your ways, and your abominations shall be in your midst; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

You shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

And you shall know that I am the LORD; for you have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have followed after the ordinances of the Gentiles that are round about you.

Say to them, I am a sign to you; just as I have done, so shall it be done to you; you shall go into captivity.

And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them in the countries.

But I will spare a few men of them from the sword, from famine, and from pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the Gentiles whither they go; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall become desolate; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

For I am the LORD; I have spoken, and the word which I speak I shall perform it; and I shall no more delay it; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it, says the LORD God.

Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have seen false visions and spoken lies; therefore, behold, I am against you, says the LORD God.
