And Gideon said to God, Don't let your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once: let me make trial, I pray you, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.

And the number of those that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down on their knees to drink water.

And they took the provisions of the people in their hand, and their trumpets; and he sent all the men of Israel every man to his tent, but retained the three hundred men: and the camp of Midian was beneath him in the valley.

But if you fear to go down, you and Purah your attendant go down to the camp:

So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came to the outermost part of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch, when they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and broke in pieces the pitchers that were in their hands.

And Gaal the son of Ebed said, Who is Abimelech, and who is Shechem, that we should serve him? isn't he the son of Jerubbaal? and Zebul his officer? You serve the men of Hamor, the father of Shechem! But why should we serve him?

But there was a strong tower inside the city, and there fled all the men and women, and all those of the city, and shut themselves in, and went up to the roof of the tower.

but when they came up from Egypt, and Israel went through the wilderness to the Red Sea, and came to Kadesh;

But Sihon didn't trust Israel to pass through his border; but Sihon gathered all his people together, and encamped in Jahaz, and fought against Israel.

I therefore haven't sinned against you, but you do me wrong to war against me: Yahweh, the Judge, shall be judge this day between the sons of Israel and the sons of Ammon.

but he said to me, Look, you shall become pregnant, and give birth to a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, and don't eat any unclean thing; for the lad shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb to the day of his death.

And God listened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field: but her husband Manoah wasn't with her.
